For all my Gemini Babies (and anyone else who loves pearls)
If you’re like me, than you’ve always associated birthstones with birth months. As a May baby, my birthstone is technically an Emerald, but to be honest, I’ve never really identified with them. First off...let’s talk about price. Emeralds have definitely never been within my budget...and in reality, I don’t know that they ever will be. Although they are quite striking in their beauty, I’m not super into the color green. In fact, I can’t tell you how many St. Patrick’s Days during my childhood, I received “pinches” from my friends because I wasn’t wearing green (cue my forever pink and black wardrobe).
But recently, I started learning that birthstones can also be associated with your astrological sign! I’ve really enjoyed learning more about my zodiac lately (maybe it’s all the quarantined time I have on my hands). Do you know how excited I was to find out that the Gemini birthstone is a Pearl? Pearls are considered to be the “Queen of Gems”. They’re also unique in that they’re the only gemstone that comes from the sea, rather than the earth. Gemini’s are known for their dueling personalities - their charisma as well as their emotion. Just like Gemini’s, pearls also have multiple sides. For generations, wearing pearls has been associated with strength and power. However they also represent balance, which is essential for Gemini’s, especially at times when we are overcome with emotion!
